HALL D3/D4, photovoltaic system

Description : A PV system with a nominal output of 1216 kWp generated by 3200 modules on an area of 5'870 sqm is to be installed on the roof areas of Halls D3 and D4 . The owner is Ferrowohlen AG.

Description : The currently unused area of approx. 3'800 sqm is being redesigned as a padel tennis area in a preliminary project study.
HALL F, expansion of cold storage north

Description : The FFF company would like to increase their storage space. The existing free space from the FFF car park is ideal for expanding your existing warehouse in the direction of Anglikerstrasse. Negotiations between FFF and Ferrowohlen are currently underway.
Infrastructure expansion

Description : The community of Wohlen intends to rehabilitate the works lines in the Industriestrasse section FFF to the Villmergerstrasse junction. From the Mühlerstrasse level crossing to the Anlikerstrasse junction, a pavement will be built on the Ferrowohlen lot. (Area approx. 1'000 sqm)

Description : The roof surfaces of the first projects from 2008 show various age-related leaks. The damaged spots and areas are repaired on an ongoing basis.

Description : After the completion of construction in 2017, the leaking channel was reported as a defect within the warranty period. In the course of remedying the defects, various measures were carried out under the direction of an external site manager via the contractor. Due to a constructive defect, the rectification of the defect will be completed in spring 2022 .
INFRASTRUCTURE EXPANSION, new sprinkler and retention basin east

Description : The new location of the sprinkler basin is the existing, ground-level and open retention basin East. The new sprinkler and retention basin can be driven on by trucks or built over with a building. In addition, new and larger diesel pumps that meet FM Global requirements will be installed. The ring main of the sprinkler pressure line from the FM Global infrastructure project is therefore suitable. The previous sprinkler basin between halls A and B will be dismantled.

REFURBISHMENT NEUTRALIZATION PLANT

Description : In order to increase the operational reliability of the neutralization system and to reduce the operating costs, the aim is to automate the hydrochloric acid metering and the neutralization. The neutralization system should be set up in such a way that the addition is automatically adjusted to the requirement. Normally, only waste water that meets the requirements of the Water Protection Ordinance should be able to be discharged.

Description : Extension of the logistics areas with docking ramps. New construction of a social wing with cloakrooms, lounges and offices. Connecting passage between Halls A and B for goods and employees.
HALL B, Middle, Digitec tenant fit-out
Status: Realization

Description : Digitec would like to increase its storage capacity on the Ferro Areal. The middle sector of Hall B is ideal for this. The following changes would have to be made for the storage room:
- Demolition of existing electrical room, sector north center
- Addition of docking ramps
- add fire protection concept
- Reinforce EG floor for net loads of up to 1.75t/sqm
FLOOD PROTECTION

Description : Very heavy rain can cause too much surface water in the Bünztalstrasse area or on the parallel cycle path. So that this brief surface water can lead to flooding in Hall A, an approx. 40 cm high flood dam is being built.

New car park

Description : The goal with the construction of a new car park is that the employees of the tenants of the Ferro area park in the car park. This means that the existing parking areas in the area can be used for new buildings. The east parking garage has capacity for 951 parking spaces.

HALL A, partial renovation of floor covering
Status: Realised and completed

Description: Due to different subsidence in the subsoil, a ground elevation over an area of 80 sqm in the hard concrete floor slab had to be remediated during ongoing operation.
HALL A, dock shelters on loading ramps
Status: Realized and finished

Description : As a supplement, dock seals were attached to the loading ramps as winter heat protection. At the same time, the damaged door jambs were repaired.
